Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CVComp ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service following any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

CVComp is an AI-powered resume analysis and optimization platform that provides:

  • General ATS (Applicant Tracking System) resume analysis
  • Job description-specific resume matching and optimization
  • AI-generated suggestions for improving resume content
  • Resume editing and PDF export capabilities

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

4.1 Free and Paid Plans

CVComp offers both free and paid subscription plans. Free plans have limited features and usage quotas. Paid plans provide additional features and higher usage limits as described on our pricing page.

4.2 Payment Terms

  • All payments are processed securely through Razorpay
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis
  • Credit packs are one-time purchases that do not expire
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period for which you have paid.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Upload content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by CVComp and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload to the Service (such as your resume). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the Service.

6.3 AI-Generated Suggestions

Suggestions and improvements generated by our AI are provided to you for your personal use in improving your resume. You may use these suggestions freely in your own documents.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated suggestions
  • Warranties that using our Service will result in job interviews or employment

AI-generated suggestions are meant to assist you and should be reviewed before use. We do not guarantee that following our suggestions will improve your chances of employment.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CVCOMP AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any damages arising from unauthorized access to your account or data

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CVComp and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party services (such as Google for authentication, OpenAI for AI processing, and Razorpay for payments). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
